Robert D. “Bob” Jaumann, age 70 of Ansonia, beloved husband of Gerhild “Hilda” Jaumann (nee Zipf) died on May 20, 2023, surrounded by family, in the comfort of his home. Born in the Bronx, NY on July 3, 1952, he was the son of the late Hugo and Anneliese Jaumann (nee Fiedler). Mr. Jaumann worked as a Data Telecommunications Director for many years.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by his brother, Erwin Jaumann of Rockville, MD and five children, Joseph A. Jaumann, and wife Crystal of Ansonia, Douglas Jaumann, and wife Carrie of Camden, SC, Matthew Jaumann, and wife Varna of Sea Ranch Lakes, FL, Stephanie Biddle and husband Ty of Atlanta, IN, and Kristen Williams, and husband Jordan of Harriman, TN; and his 10 grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Abigail, and Jackson Jaumann of Ansonia, Nora and Otto Jaumann of Camden, SC, Karthik and Vedha Jaumann of Sea Ranch Lakes, FL, Agatha Biddle of Atlanta, IN, and Eleanor Rose Williams of Harriman, TN; and Tristin Carder of Gambrills, MD.

Bob was an avid car enthusiast and loved to get under the hood and work on his cars. In his free time, Bob could always be found with a tool in his hand, either around the house, or in the garage fixing, tinkering, or working on whatever needed to be repaired. As a lifelong learner, if he didn’t know how, Bob taught himself (Yes, without YouTube). Bob loved animals and all his pets, especially his dog, Charlie, whom he loved walking around the neighborhood. Bob was a doting grandfather and loved spoiling his grandchildren with goodies at every opportunity. Bob was also a sports fan and loved basketball (NY Knicks) and baseball (NY Yankees). Bob volunteered with Habitat for Humanity assisting with the building of several homes and was a member of the Ansonia Republican Town Committee.
