Obituary of John J. Sheehy

John “Jack” Sheehy, age 74 of Stratford, died peacefully on May 17, 2023, at Bridgeport Hospital.  Born in Bridgeport on November 22, 1948, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Fitzpatrick Sheehy.  Mr. Sheehy was a lifelong resident of Stratford and a 1967 graduate of Bunnell High School.  He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam era.  Mr. Sheehy was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and was an umpire for the Stratford Men’s Softball League.  He is survived by his devoted brothers, William Sheehy and his wife Carol of Shelton, James Sheehy of Stratford and Robert Sheehy and his wife, Barbara of Shelton; as well as several nieces, nephews and his loyal canine companion Nicky.  Funeral services are private.  The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
