Mrs. Stockmal was my kindergarten teacher at Willis School in Ansonia during the 1956-57 school year. That year was a magical introduction to the world of school. There was always lots of fun and music and stories.....also sandbox play and fantasy play in the dress-up room. I am now 72 years old and retired from teaching. Thoughout my life I have thought of Miss Pesta often and I am eternally grateful for the great start she provided to my schooling. My deepest condolences to the family. Love and prayers in your time of grief. May she rest in peace.

Marilyn - Thank you for sharing your memories of my mother. She loved being a teacher, loved her students, and I'm sure she would have remembered you and been tickled to know that she inspired you to pursue a teaching career of your own. God bless you! - Marianne (Stochmal) Heffernan
Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. Maryann was our children’s teacher at St. Michaels. She was a lively and wonderful woman. So very sorry we didn’t attend her service, but we just found out a few hours ago. May she Rest In Peace. With love, sincerely, Chuck and Carol Geffert.
