My sincere condolences to the family. Bill was a cousin of my father, Thomas (Blake) Blakely. My grandmother, Florence Gittings Blakely, was a sister of Bill's Mother, Edith. I have fond memories of Uncle Bill and Aunt Edith, especially seeing everyone at their house after the Ansonia Memorial Day parade, and at our house on Clifton Avenue in Ansonia, for the many backyard parties my Dad and grandmother would host. Also, Uncle Bill bringing us to the shore in the summer to go swimming. So many good memories. How many Sugar Daddies did I drop in the sand and cry over? I could go on and on, but I won't bore you any further. Again, my condolences.
