Obituary of A. Jane Hope

Anna Jane Hope, age 94, beloved wife of Herbert W. Hope, Jr., died December 23, 2015 at The Villages of Rockville Health Care Center, Rockville, MD. Born in New Haven on September 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Selma Olson Priest. Mrs. Hope was a Shelton resident for many years before moving to Maryland in 1998. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as a bank teller for the Derby Savings Bank at the Huntington Branch. In addition to her husband of 69 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Sally Beth Buckner and her husband, Leigh of MD, and Ward Hope and his wife Beth of Shelton; cherished grandchildren, Thomas Hope of Milford, Christopher Hope of Shelton and a great-grandson, Andrew Hope. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Huntington Lawn Cemetery, 24 Lane St., Shelton, CT.
