Obituary of Lawrence Iannucci
Lawrence Iannucci, age 85 of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Rose C. Ivers Iannucci, died peacefully on August 28, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport on October 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Rocco and Rose Loschiavo Iannucci. Mr. Iannucci was raised in Bridgeport, a graduate of Central High School and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to Shelton 25 years ago. He worked as a masonry contractor for over 60 years and was owner and operator of Lawrence Iannucci Builders. Mr. Iannucci enjoyed a good card game with his cronies and continued to work small masonry jobs well past retirement. Together with his spouse, he’d extensively travel the Caribbean and reside in Boca Raton, FL for the winter season. He will be long remembered for his exemplary work ethic and his unselfish generosity in helping others. He is survived by his devoted children, Deborah (Albert) Papa of Shelton, Darlene (Anthony) Jacabacci of Ansonia, Lawrence (Kim Linn) Iannucci, Jr. of Stratford, Roberta “Robbie” (Mark) Rampino of Ansonia and Michael (Jennifer) Iannucci of Trumbull; a sister, Katherine Falsetti of Shelton; a brother Richard (Kathleen) Iannucci of Stratford; cherished grandchildren, Marissa Papa Telesmanick, Albert Papa, Ashley and Anthony Jacabacci, Jenna and Lawrence Iannucci III, CJ and Alyssa Rampino, Zachary, Katelyn and Andrew Iannucci; cherished great-grandchildren, Owen and Lilly Telesmanick, Gianna and Lorenzo Jacabacci and Vincent and Gianna Iannucci; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he was predeceased by a sister Estelle (Ralph) Frascatore. A Mass of Christian Burial, Meeting Directly at Church, will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Avenue, Shelton at 10:00 AM. Interment will directly follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 20 Batterson Park Road, 2nd Floor, Farmington, CT 06032.
