Obituary of Margaret Janucik
Margaret Janucik, age 57, beloved wife of George Janucik of Seymour, died peacefully on May 23, 2019 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Health with her family by her side. Born in Miejska Gorka, Poland on August 1, 1961, she was the daughter of Wladyslawa (Rybacki) Ceglarek of Poland and the late Edmond Ceglarek. Mrs. Janucik emigrated from Poland to the U.S. in 1980 and settled in Seymour with her aunt, the late Anna K. Melnyk, before moving to Ansonia. She enjoyed a long 30 year career at Lifetouch working in the shipping and receiving department, then as a Lead Trainer for new employees and lastly, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector. Following Lifetouch, Mrs. Janucik began a new career at Companions and Homemakers, working as a Home Health Aide for 8 years until the time of her illness. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, elegant fashions and shopping. Generous by nature, she’d surprise many with small gifts or keepsakes - a simple reminder that she was always thinking of friends and family, often placing their needs before her own. In addition to her husband of 38 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Michelle (Kryzsztof) Dudzik of Florida and Christopher (Shima) Janucik of Shelton; grandchildren, Isabella and Nicholas Dudzik of Florida, and Gabriel Janucik of Shelton; and a brother, Grzegorz Ceglarek of Poland. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
