Obituary of Catherine Ann Carrier

Catherine Ann Carrier, age 38, beloved wife of Timothy Carrier of Ansonia, died suddenly on April 16, 2019.  Born in Waterbury on August 15, 1980, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marcy Alves Brancato of Ansonia.  Mrs. Carrier was raised in Ansonia and was a 1998 graduate of St. Joseph High School, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design from the Paier College of Art.  She was pursuing a healthcare career through Lincoln Technical Institute’s Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training program, while currently employed as a nurse’s aide at Benchmark Senior Living at Carriage Green in Milford.  She was truly loved by the residents and her coworkers at Carriage Green.  Catherine will be long remembered for her positive and optimistic personality, always bringing happiness and laughter to all she encountered.   In addition to her parents and husband of nine years, she is survived by a cherished son, Channing Jax “CJ” Carrier of Ansonia; stepson, Bradley Carrier of TX; her  twin sister, Jennifer Brancato of Woodbury; and niece, Kasey Dwyer of Woodbury.  A Mass of Christian Burial, Meeting Directly At Church, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 10:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Family and friends may call at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made (payable to Timothy Carrier) to help care for their five year old son.
