Obituary of Katherine Ann Lisi

Katherine Ann “Torchy” Lisi, age 81, of Derby, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her family.  Born in Bridgeport on April 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Constance Nardo Serreti.  Mrs. Lisi resided in Derby for 28 years, previously of Shelton and Bridgeport.  She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for the Stratford Visiting Nurse Association for 15 years, until the time of her retirement.  Mrs. Lisi enjoyed music and dancing, as well as spending time with her family, especially with her cherished granddaughter, Erika. “Torchy” enjoyed visiting wineries as well as “girls weekends" to Maine.   She is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah (John) Poremba of Ansonia; granddaughter, Erika Poremba of Ansonia; a beloved companion of 28 years, Charlie O’Neil of Derby; a sister, Norma (Dave) D’Elia of Newtown; a brother, Pat (Florence) Serreti of Stratford; a sister-in-law, Roberta Serreti of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a dear son, Daniel Lisi; brothers, Frank and James Serreti; and a sister, Lee Diamond.  Funeral Services will take place on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 11:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 NOON in the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia.  Entombment will directly follow in Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum, Derby.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
