Obituary of Xuan Nguy

Mr. Xuan Nguy, age 87, of East Haven, beloved husband of the late Mui Duong, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam, the son of the late Tien Nguy and immigrated with his wife to the United States in 1991 and settled in the Valley area.  Following the death of his wife in 1998, he resided with his son in Hamden and East Haven. While in Vietnam, Mr. Nguy owned and operated the Thu Duc grocery store for many years.  During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.   Mr. Nguy is survived by his devoted sons, Bruce Nguy and his wife Quyen Lam of Ansonia, Minh Nguy and his wife Thuy Tien Pham of North Haven, Quang Nguy and his wife Hue Tran Lam of East Haven; his daughters, Hong Nguy of Vietnam, Joann Nguy of Ansonia, and Huu Nguy of New Haven; cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Bryan, Brandon, Tracy, Jasmine, Jennifer, Dalena and Stephanie Nguy.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will directly follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
