Candle 2
Mike Mayko
No one could ask for a better aunt. It was very difficult watching her go downhill in the last few years. She was very active and even lived at home alone at 100 years old. I spent nearly every Sunday, several vacation days as well as the days my mother was hospitalized with my aunt while growing up in Ansonia. She helped guide me, teach me right from wrong but more importantly back then was allowing me to watch my beloved New York Mets on Channel 9 which in those pre-cable days was not accessible at our Clarkson Street home. It's difficult watching the elderly parishioners at St. Peter and St. Paul who were such strong figures in my youth now pass away like Mr. Stuban, Mrs. Rozum and Mrs. Michel.
