Obituary of Jaroslaw Kasprzyk
Jaroslaw “Jerry” Kasprzyk, age 82, of Derby, died November 28, 2018, in his home following a sudden illness. Born in Wysowa, Poland on September 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Metody and Marta Car Kasprzyk. Mr. Kasprzyk immigrated to the United States in 1972 and has been a longtime resident of Derby. He was an employee of Sikorsky for over 25 years, until the time of his retirement in 2001. Mr. Kasprzyk was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church of Ansonia, a voracious reader and enjoyed all types of electronics and electronic devices. Above all, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his cherished nieces and nephews. He is survived by his devoted sister, Luba Lypen of Derby; a niece, Mary (Adam) Faass of Middletown and a nephew, Andrew (Beata) Lypen of Orange; great-nieces, Maja Lypen, Madelyn Faass and a great-nephew, Chase Faass. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Peter Lypen. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby.
