Armand “Jim” Tonnuci, age 60, beloved husband of Lori Dojnia Tonucci of Shelton, died peacefully at home on September 21, 2018.  Born in Derby on December 31, 1957, he was the son of the late Armando and Carole Ann Sarosi Tonucci.  Mr. Tonucci was a lifelong resident of Shelton and 1976 graduate of Shelton High School.  He worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service out of the Seymour Post Office for over 25 years.  He was a passionate fly fisherman that loved the solitary peace of a quiet stream with the sounds of nature surrounding him.  He was an accomplished fly tyer and when not fishing, was often found in his hobby room tying various styles of flies to use in Farmington or Cornwall, CT.  Mr. Tonucci also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. In addition to his wife of 26 years, he is survived by his daughter, Megan Spiegel of Shelton; a sister, Amy Tonucci of Unionville; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Daniel) Flaucher of Ansonia; brother-in-law, Jack Dojnia of Shelton; niece, Samantha Flaucher and nephew, Nicholas Flaucher, both of Ansonia.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will be private.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ansonia Animal Shelter, Division St., Ansonia, CT 06401.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
