Obituary of Ludmila Perevozchikova

Ludmila Alexandrovna Perevozchikova, age 82, beloved wife of Gerald Perevozchikov of Newtown, died peacefully on May 1, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.  Born on December 24, 1935 in Uzbekistan, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Voronin and Olga Ludwig Voronina.  Mrs. Perevozchikova was a college graduate and employed as an Accountant for the Central Asia Atom TEP Corporation of Uzbekistan where she worked in infrastructure and city planning for many years, until the time of her retirement.  Together with her family, she immigrated to the U.S. in 2009 and was very proud to become a naturalized citizen of the United States in 2016.  Mrs. Perevozchikova loved people and her natural social ability and smile endeared her to many.  She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds surrounding her home, as well as all animals, especially the family pets.  Mrs. Perevozchikova was a devout Orthodox Christian and her strong faith served her well as she courageously fought her illness, surpassing the expectations of many physicians.  In addition to her husband of 59 years, she is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Oleg (Alla)  Perevozchikov of Simsbury and Yulia (Eugene) Vereshagin of Newtown; a brother, Vyacheslav (Yevgenia) Voronin of Uzbekistan; cherished grandchildren, Stanislav Perevozchikov of NYC, Marina Perevozchikova of Simsbury and Daniel, Stephen and Anna Vereshagin, all of Newtown.  A Funeral Service, meeting directly at church, will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 9:00 AM in Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the medical staff on the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Health for their compassionate and professional care extended to Ludmila in her time of need.  Memorial contributions may be made to Closer To Free For Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O.
