Phil was our mail carrier for many years. He loved our office cat Pia. She would wait on her bed on the counter and wait for her daily pet from him. He also helped a number of kittens and cats in the area, assuring they were safe and warm. He obviously had a big spot in his heart for animals! I just recently started working at our New Haven facility which is located at 54 E. Ramsdell St. Phi was our mailman. He brought joy every time enter the building and had such a Kind Spirit. Some things just don't make sense, especially a tragedy like this.

I've got many wonderful memories of times when The Hunts & The Roeders were together having fun and at CUMC Youth Group Events. Phil really was a peaceful soul with a great sense of humor.

Phil was such a bright light and had the biggest heart possible. We loved golfing, traveling and socializing with Phil and Carole. He will be so very missed. But I have to chuckle at the thought of Phil bringing his great energy to heaven/after life.
