Obituary of Rosemarie Ann LaRowe

Rosemarie Ann LaRowe, better known as Dolly, age 72 of Beacon Falls, died peacefully on September 29, 2017 at St. Mary Hospital, Waterbury.   Born in Derby on January 22, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Mary Ann Baron Dorosh.  Ms. LaRowe was raised in Shelton, a graduate of Shelton High School and worked as a shipping clerk for over 15 years for the former Remington Arms Co. of Bridgeport. Many people will remember her from waitressing numerous years at the former Sandwich Man Restaurant of Seymour.   Ms. LaRowe loved to dance, was a hard worker and dedicated provider for her family.  She was a constant and ever present source of support for her children in their every endeavor and loved them dearly.  She enjoyed camping with her family, creating beautiful stained glass window treatments and sun catchers, as well as fun trips to the casinos in her senior years.  She is survived by her three devoted children, Gary LaRowe of Naugatuck, John LaRowe and his wife, Carolee, of Beacon Falls, and Bonnie LaRowe of VA; seven cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn and Tyler LaRowe of Naugatuck; and Nathaniel, Elijah, Joshua, and John LaRowe of Beacon Falls; brothers, Robert Dorosh and his wife, Gayle, of Seymour and Richard Dorosh and his wife, Michelle, of CA; and companion of many years, Paul Duncle.  Family and friends may call on Friday, October 13, 2017, 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, CT.  A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
