Obituary of David J. Lewis

David Joseph Lewis, age 65, beloved husband of Linda Brown Lewis of Ansonia, died September 14, 2017 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his family.  Born in Bridgeport on November 12, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Gladys Bagon Lewis.  Mr. Lewis was raised in Trumbull, graduated from Trumbull High School and has resided in Ansonia for 17 years.  A man loved by all; he was always happy, enjoyed the company of others and accomplished all of his endeavors with dignity and grace.   He was an avid fan of the NY Mets and Giants and a lover of animals, especially his cat, Ozzy.  His lawn was his pride and joy and he will be long remembered for his special love for his wife and family.  In addition to his wife of 36 years, he is survived by his cherished sons, David J. Lewis, Jr. of ME and Christopher M. Lewis of Ansonia, and devoted sister, Cheryl Lewis of Danbury.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Dean A. Lewis.
