Obituary of Nettie Kasper

Nettie Kasper, age 88 of Bethlehem, died peacefully on July 15, 2017 at the VITAS Hospice in Waterbury, surrounded by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Robert Rock; and her cherished grandchildren Alexandra, Natalie, Andrew, and Alec Rock. Born in Stratford on October 11, 1928 to Aleksander and Titania Honcharik, she was the beloved wife of Richard F. Kasper, MD.

A long-time resident of Monroe, Nettie especially enjoyed raising her children, spending time with family and friends, and following her beloved New York Yankees. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was always there for them – as she was for so many others throughout her life.

Mrs. Kasper is also survived by her daughter, Cynthia Kasper of Shelton, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 37 years, she was predeceased by sons, Richard F. Kasper, Jr., Gregory Kasper, and Kevin Kasper; brothers Peter, Paul, and Adam Honcharik; and sisters, Mary Argianas, Anne Beane, Vera Green, and Alice Sladky. A private graveside funeral service will be held for family and close friends at the Monroe Center Cemetery.
