Obituary of Laura Lee Machnicz

Laura Lee Machnicz, age 46 of Seymour, beloved companion of Edward Wols of Seymour, died peacefully on July 9, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital.  Born in Waterbury on August 21, 1970, she was the daughter of the late Paul Marslano and M. Lois Desjardins Anderson.  Ms. Machnicz was a graduate of Ansonia High School and worked as a home health aide and certified medical assistant.  She enjoyed reading and music.  In addition to her companion, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Paige J. Machnicz of Seymour; sons, Michael G. and Mark R. Machnicz, both of Plymouth; sisters, Deanna (Aaron) Legg of WV, Jillian Treszi of Hamden and a brother, Jeffrey Marslano of Waterbury; stepmother, Barbara Marslano of Hamden; and her former spouse, Gregory Machnicz of Seymour.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Rev. Mark Anderson.  A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will be private.  Family and friends may call on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 Noon to 2:30 PM, prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
