Obituary of George Richard Golski

George R. Golski, age 82 of Derby, beloved husband of Patricia Protska Golski, died peacefully on June 20, 2017 at Griffin Hospital.  Born in Derby on January 9, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Anna Petro Golski.  Mr. Golski was a lifelong Derby resident, graduate of Derby High School and Boy Scout of Troop 3, Derby.  He worked as an inspector for the former Avco Lycoming – Textron Co. for over 34 years, until his retirement in 1994.  He was a proud member of the UAW Union Local 1010 and served as president of the Eagle’s Club of Derby.  Mr. Golski enjoyed all things 50’s, including doo wop music and classic cars.  Together with his wife of 40 years, he enjoyed traveling, strolls on the beach and many memorable sunsets.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Golski is survived by a son, Gregory Golski of Ansonia.
