Obituary of Zbigniew Marzec

Zbigniew Marzec, age 69 of Derby, beloved husband of Bozena Marzec, died peacefully on April 5, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Piaseczna, Poland on January 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Jozef and Antonina Marzec née Szydlowska. Mr. Marzec immigrated to the U.S. in 1984 and resided in Bridgeport before moving to Derby over 20 years ago. He was an employee of Anco Engineering of Shelton where he worked for many years prior to his retirement. In addition to his wife, Bozena, of 28 years, he is survived by his cherished children, Nicholas Marzec of Derby and Victoria Marzec of NY; sisters, Krystyna Marzec Holka of Poland, Elizbieta Borkowski of Germany and Urszula Kowalska of Poland. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 7:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, April 10, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
