Obituary of Pauline Bayley

BAYLEY- Pauline Bayley, age 81 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Ronald Bayley, died peacefully on April 4, 2017 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on June 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James and Pauline Teed Mulligan. Mrs. Bayley worked as a certified nurse’s aide for the Visiting Nurse Assoc. of greater New Haven County for over 22 years, until the time of her retirement. She was a member of AARP, the Shelton Senior Center, and the Valley Heart Club of Griffin Hospital. Mrs. Bayley is survived by her devoted daughters, Cathleen Griego (Ed Weaver) of CA, and Donna (Quentin) Garatoni of Derby; sisters, Jean (Arnold) Nelson of Stratford, and Carol Thomas of Bridgeport; a brother, James (Maureen) Mulligan of Trumbull; cherished grandchildren, Celestina “Tina” (Raphael) Pena of CA, Amelia “Amy” (Keith) Sobarnia of CA, David Griego of CA and Melanie Garatoni of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Shane and Serena Sobarnia and Caden Griego, all of CA and Tyler and Colin Strang of Seymour; brothers-in-law, Richard Balog of Monroe, Gerald Lukowski of Shelton and John Tomatore. She was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine Balog, Betty Lukowski and Ruth Tomatore. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2018, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton. Entombment will directly follow in Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum, Derby.
