Obituary of Margaret E. Gregos

GREGOS - Margaret Eileen Gregos, age 70 of Seymour, died peacefully on September 29, 2015 at Talmadge Park Health Care Center, East Haven. Born in Derby on May 1, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Madar Gregos, Jr. Ms. Gregos was a lifelong Seymour resident and graduate of Seymour High School. She worked for the Amity Board of Education as a secretary for 30 years until the time of her retirement. She loved to paint, was an avid doll maker and member of the “Dolls with an Attitude” club, as well as a skilled quilter and member of the “CT Piece Makers” quilting club and the Southford Falls Quilt Guild. Ms. Gregos is survived by brothers, Michael Gregos of Seymour and John (Frances) Gregos of FL; Godson & nephew, Frank (Ginamarie) Barba, Jr. of East Haven; nephew, John (Kathy) Gregos of FL; and great-niece and great-nephew, Angela and Christopher Barba of East Haven. In addition to her parents, she was recently predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Frank) Barba, Sr. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
