Obituary of Dawn L. Mancini

MANCINI- Dawn Lorraine Mancini, age 48 of Bridgeport, died June 8, 2015 in her residence following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport on October 30, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Carl Mancini and Nancy Colomb Pelletier of NC. Ms. Mancini worked as a waitress in many local diners until the time of her retirement. She loved to bake, play the slot machine on her tablet, and above all, spend quality time with her grandchildren. Ms. Mancini was a paranormal enthusiast and a regular viewer of supernatural TV shows. A recent thrill was meeting famed paranormal investigator, Lorraine Warren following the release of the movie “Annabelle”. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted children, Kimberly (Robert) Cavallaro of Shelton and Joseph (Megan Rivera) Mancini of Shelton; a brother, Darrin (Leslie) Mancini of FL; a sister, Tammy (Rabbit) Ball of FL; cherished grandchildren, Autumn, Kaylynn, and Vincent Cavallaro and Riley Mancini, all of Shelton; her stepmother, Deborah Mancini of CA; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home.
