Obituary of Salvatore J. Cinque

CINQUE - Salvatore John Cinque, age 80 of Guilford, beloved husband of the late Joan Annette Anderson Cinque, died peacefully on February 15, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on June 20, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Frances Ciercielli Cinque. Mr. Cinque was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and attended the University of Miami. He was a resident of Guilford for over 55 years and together with his brother Louis, he co-owned and operated the family business, Cinque Trucking of East Haven, for over 60 years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his outstanding work ethic and his unending support and love for his family. Mr. Cinque is survived by his devoted sons, John S. Cinque and his wife, Regina of Branford, Christopher P. Cinque and his wife, Jennifer of New Haven, and Salvatore A. Cinque of Guilford; a brother, Louis Cinque and his wife Edwina, and a sister, Mary Ingram, all of East Haven; cherished grandchildren, John, Kristen and Nicholas Cinque; Matthew and Jack Cinque; and Bartu Taras. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he was predeceased by a sister, Rose Cinque. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be on Saturday, June 20, 2015, 10:00 AM in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
