Obituary of Mildred Rahael

Rahael, Mildred K. Rahael, age 88, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Peter Rahael, died February 12, 2008 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Seymour on April 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Dmytri and Mary Natowich Kitik. Mrs. Rahael was a lifelong valley resident and parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. She worked for the former B.F. Goodrich Co. in their Derby Plant. Mrs. Rahael was a member of the Woodbridge Senior Center where she enjoyed art classes. She will be remembered for her love of family, her sharp mentality and her skill in solitaire and word search puzzles. She is survived by her devoted daughter, M. Patricia Reilly; cherished granddaughter, Morgan K. Reilly, both of Seymour; brother, Walter Kitik of Cheshire and sister, Madeline Whaley and her husband William of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews including Ken Kieley and his wife Diana of NH and Paula Bissonette of FL. Mrs. Rahael was predeceased by brothers, John and Michael Kitik; and sisters, Anne Karaban, Esther Gemmell and Pauline Booker. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 9:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Springtime interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 17, 2008, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sts.
