A long time Ansonia resident, mother of 3, grandmother of 6, “Jean” worked as a credit supervisor for the Connecticut Light and Power Co. for 17 years, until her early retirement in 1992. Jean then joined her husband Nick working within the family business. She is an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia.

A lifelong resident of Shelton, husband, father and step-father, John is a graduate of, St. Joseph Catholic Grammar School, Shelton, CT, Notre Dame High School of West Haven, CT and of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, NY. Working in funeral service over 25 years, he possesses expert experience in all facets of funeral service and has earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He serves as a Professional Consultant to the New England Organ Bank and was awarded with special recognition in 2008. In 2005, John served as the 116th President of the CT Funeral Director’s Association and remains active on many committees. He is a member of St. Joseph Church, Shelton and sits on the Alumni Steering Committee; Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia; Committee Member, Boy Scouts of America - Troop 27, Shelton, as well as being a member of the Advisory Board of the Housatonic Council, Boy Scouts of America; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus; Connecticut Funeral Director’s Assoc. and the National Funeral Directors Assoc. John is also a member of the Seymour Lions Club, where he was nominated as the 2010 Lion of the Year and is currently club’s Vice President. In recognition of his service to the community and outstanding professional reputation, John S. Zaleski was invited into the Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan Ambassador Program and currently serves as an Ambassador for the Derby Branch.
