Planning for the end of life isn't something that appeals to most of us. We are understandably reluctant to think about death, and even more reluctant to talk about it with our loved ones. Many of the families we serve choose pre-planned services. They have many reasons for doing so. They want to make sure that last wishes are understood and honored. They want to avoid making difficult choices at a time when grief is fresh. They want to be able to talk together and decide on the most meaningful choices for them.
During the pre-planning process, we help people to focus their thoughts about their service, to think about the experience they wish to leave behind. We also work with them to gather necessary information that is more difficult to access at-need: information about birth and death dates and places, organizations, military service, social security information, employment history. We help people determine the information to have highlighted and made public upon their passing.
Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home is a full service funeral establishment. We offer our families flexible prearrangement and prepayment trust and insurance programs that guarantee funds will be available when needed. These programs can be made irrevocable for those applying for Title 19 or Medicaid Benefits.
