Fama, age 80, beloved wife of Salvatore J. Fama of Ansonia, died March 3, 2010 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. Born in Torrington on July 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise Dassan. Mrs. Fama was a longtime Ansonia resident, homemaker and Communicant of the Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Monroe. In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Michael J. Fama and his wife, Nancy of Northford and Therese M. Kusterer and her husband, Ron of Seymour; a sister, Margaret Sawoska of Torrington; cherished grandchildren, Louis Peccerillo, Matthew, Michael and Jenna Fama; Robert, Thomas, Clarice, Jennie, Gustav, Faith, Sarah, and Emily Kusterer. Mrs. Fama was predeceased by a brother, Louis Dassan and sisters, Adeline Ross and Josephine Dassan. A Graveside Funeral Service will take place on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 11:00 AM in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby.
